No, Christianity is not under attack in the US
“On Tuesday, Attorney General Pam Bondi hosted an inaugural meeting of a task force consisting of other members of President Donald Trump’s cabinet, to discuss its mission to eradicate alleged “anti-Christian bias” within the federal government.”
LOL! This is just propaganda. There is no “anti-Christian bias” in the US. In fact, there is a pro-Christian bias in the US.
Christmas is a federal holiday. Good Friday is a holiday in 12 states: Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Indiana,Kentucky, Louisiana, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Tennessee, and Texas. Neither Passover nor any other Jewish holiday is recognized as official federal or state holidays in the United States. Washington State officially recognizes the Muslim Holidays of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha as state holidays but they are not federal holidays.
Christian churches, just like other faith organizations, are tax-exempt.
The DoJ language identifies opponents of abortion as Christian. While there are certainly Christian sects that oppose abortion (as there are certainly atheists who oppose abortion), there are also pro-choice Christians, including pro-choice Roman Catholics. Jesus was silent on the topic of abortion,
Likewise, anti-vaxxer, anti-gay and pro-homeschooling are not definably Christian. There are both Christians and non-Christians who subscribe to these views, but Jesus was silent on the topics of vaccines, homosexuality and home schooling.
Creationism is a belief of certain Christian sects, but others are fine with evolution science, including the Christian Roman Catholic Church. Jesus was silent on evolution and the age of the earth.
Look, Christianity is privileged in the US. But that doesn’t seem to be enough for the Trump Administration, which prefers to gaslight those of us who support separation of church and state. Trump doesn’t care about Christianity. He does this to divide Americans.
