Blocked on FB yet again

I created this blog because I had been repeatedly blocked on FB for criticizing someone in the Trump administration or someone who supported Trump. Now I've been blocked again for a week, this time for criticizing the *behavior* of someone. It is apparently now a violation of community standards ("hate speech or harassment") to point out that a post is trolling. Not calling the person a troll, just calling out their post. At least it is, if the speech comes from a Trump supporter.

Shame on FB. Again.

  1. I've been blocked for using some from of the word "troll". Believing fair is fair, I've begun reporting others who use some form of the word "troll". I've had mixed results and cannot find any discernable pattern related to when Facebook decides to ban someone for using a "troll" variant and when they do not.

I'm active on my "far-right-wing" "trump-ass-wiping" "narcissistic" congressional representative's Facebook pages and for that I endure a fair amount of offensive comments. I've begun reporting them authors to Facebook - again, with very mixed results. Sometimes someone is censured for a fairly generic insult, other times they are not censured for a racist, misogynistic, homophobic, and/or religiously-bigoted epithet - or comments that are menacing or threatening. I usually block the offenders after reporting them. There's no reason anyone should be subjected to verbal abuse or threats. Earlier this week an offender (censured by Facebook) got pissed off and, before I blocked him, managed to identify some of my family members and started stalking them as well. People are creepy. And some of the creepy ones are dangerous. Our area, in northern NY is becoming a political tinderbox.

To avoid getting banned, I've been using term "Facebook stalking" - in quotes - and have yet to be banned. I've also been able to refer to trump as a "pu$$y grabber" - in quotes - without consequence. I'll often add parenthetically, "his words, not mine."

I don't like Facebook... I think Zuckerberg is extremely self-serving and he would happily support trump if it results in more power and money.

I wish there were an alternative that was viable. Blogs are nice--- but they don't "deliver" to readers and they don't network well with other blogs.
